Amritsar, Punjab: New variants of corona have been found in three doctors in Amritsar today. Civil surgeon Dr. Kirandeep Kaur has confirmed this. All three patients are junior doctors of the medical college. They are currently in home isolation.
The civil surgeon said that patients of the new variant recover automatically in two to three days. He appealed to people to be cautious instead of panicking. Dr. Kaur said that symptoms like cough, cold, fever and difficulty in breathing should not be ignored. It is advisable to stay away from crowded areas.
The elderly, pregnant women, small children and patients of diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney disease will have to take special precautions. It is advised to wash hands regularly and wear a mask if needed. If any serious symptoms appear, get yourself examined immediately at a government health center. The civil surgeon has also asked to be cautious of the rumors spreading on social media. There are more than 35 active cases of Covid in Punjab so far.
