Amritsar: The time of the retreat ceremony held at the Attari-Wagah border in Punjab has been changed. Now this ceremony will start at 6:00 pm, whereas earlier it used to happen at 5:30 pm. The Border Security Force (BSF) has made this change keeping the weather in mind.

Every day thousands of people come to the India-Pakistan border to watch this parade filled with enthusiasm and patriotism. Here, the soldiers of the Indian and Pakistani armies perform a synchronized march, national anthem and the grand process of lowering the flag. Tourists from India and abroad come to see this event.

Time changed due to heat and daylight

According to BSF officials, the day sets late in summer, due to which the change in time was necessary to complete the flag lowering process on time. Due to this, the parade will now start at 6:00 pm.

Plan your trip according to the time

During the Retreat Ceremony, the atmosphere reverberates with slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, “Vande Mataram” and “Hindustan Zindabad”. This event gives a unique experience of patriotism on the India-Pakistan border, where people feel proud by uniting under the national flag.

Tourists are advised to plan their visit keeping the time change in mind, so that they can fully enjoy this grand and inspiring parade.
