In Ludhiana pedestrian fatally struck by oncoming train

The accident happened while crossing the railway track; the train stopped when a crowd gathered.

Ludhiana: Today in Ludhiana, a young man was hit by a passenger train while crossing the railway track. After the accident, the train driver left with the train, but after going some distance, he stopped the train and informed the GRP. A large crowd of people gathered at the spot.

Giving information, GRP’s ASI Ramesh Kumar said that a young man had been badly hit by a train near Manju Cinema. People nearby told me that he was trying to cross the railroad track. Meanwhile, the train came. And the young man was hit by the train.

When the train’s loco pilot hit the young man, he went ahead. After going some distance, he stopped the train after seeing the noise of the people. He informed the police about the accident. The age of the deceased seems to be around 25 years. When he was searched, no identity card was found from him.

Police are interrogating in the surrounding areas.

GRP is interrogating people in the surrounding areas so that the deceased can be identified. At present, the body of the youth has been kept in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital for 72 hours. Once the relatives are traced, the body will be handed over to them after the postmortem.
