Dasuya: A major collision between a tourist bus and a sugarcane-laden trolley took place in Dasuya. Passengers were asleep while bus collided with the tractor-trolley. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported yet. Passengers were evacuated safely from the bus by passersby. The bus driver, who is held responsible for the collision is absconding.
As per the passengers in the bus, the accident happened due to the driver falling asleep. Today on Hoshiarpur’s Dasuya Delhi Jammu National Highway, a tourist bus coming from Jalandhar suddenly collided with a sugarcane laden trolley. The accident took place in front of Hotel King Virat.
The collision was so strong that sugarcane penetrated inside the bus. Fortunately, no one has been reported injured in this accident. Giving information, people traveling in the bus said that the bus was going from Delhi to Jammu. The driver was driving the bus at a very high speed.
After traveling the whole night, when the bus reached Dasuya, the driver fell asleep due to which the bus collided directly with the tractor trolley. Passengers also alleged that the bus driver left the bus there and fled from the spot after the collision.
At the time of the accident, most of the passengers were sleeping in the bus. Dasuya police reached the spot and got the people out of the bus safely. The accident is being investigated by Dasuya police.
