The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Amritpal Singh, a resident of Ward No. 4 of Kotkapura, who was the father of three daughters and was returning after dropping his children to the government school at Kila Chowk at the time of the incident. After receiving the information, the City Police Station reached the spot and started the investigation. A CCTV footage of the accident has also surfaced.

Like every day, Amritpal Singh was returning on his bike on Saturday morning after dropping his children to the government school and when he was passing through Chopra MC lane, a bike coming from the other side hit him. Due to which he fell on the road and died due to serious head injuries.

Jaspal Singh and Harjinder Singh, residents of village Sarawa who were riding on another bike, also sustained injuries and have been admitted to the civil hospital in Kotkapura for treatment. In this case, ward number 4 councillor Simranjit Singh said that the deceased used to work as a labourer and was the father of three daughters. At the time of the incident, he was returning after dropping his children to school and became a victim of the accident.

In this case, ASI Iqbal Singh of Kotkapura City Police Station said that the entire matter is being investigated and further action will be taken on the statement of the deceased’s family.
