Ferozepur: In a tragic incident, a woman and her 8-year-old daughter, who were returning home on a bike died in a collision with a truck. Family is in deep shock due to sudden death of Mother and daughter in the accident. Police station city police has taken the dead bodies in their custody and sent them for post-mortem.
This accident happened near Kasuri Gate of Firozpur city. Mother 40-year-old Seema and her 8-year-old daughter Simran, residents of village Dulchi, had gone to attend the last Ardas of a relative on Sunday morning.
Late in the evening, Seema was returning to village Dulchike with her daughter and her brother-in-law on a motorcycle. Near Kasuri Gate, a speeding truck coming from the front hit the bike. In this accident, Seema and Simran died on the spot due to severe injuries, while Seema’s brother-in-law got injured. The injured has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The deceased woman is also said to be pregnant.
The deceased’s husband lives in another city.
As soon as the information was received, Police Station City Firozpur reached the spot, investigated the accident, took possession of the dead bodies and kept them in the mortuary of the Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
The station in-charge said that the police is taking action. It is being told that the husband of the deceased woman lives in some other city. The police has sent information to the husband and other family members of the deceased.
