Tarn Taran: In a major breakthrough, Tarn Taran Police have apprehended two associates of gangster Prabhdeep Singh alias Prabh Dasuwal. Both associates were arrested after a brief encounter between police and associates. The information about arrest has been shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav.
The two associates have been identified as Karanpreet Singh & Gurlaljit Singh. Both are associates of gangster Prabhdeep Singh alias Prabh Dasuwal. DGP Yadav added that when police team tried to apprehend the accused, they attacked police team and tried to flee from spot.
Police acted in self defense and in retaliatory fire, both accused sustained injuries. After the encounter, both accused were admitted to the civil hospital. Their condition is reported to be stable.
Police also recovered arms and ammunition from them. One Pistol .32 bore along with live cartridges and one Activa Scooter used in firing incidents have been recovered from their possession. Further investigation by the police is underway.
DGP Yadav added that Punjab Police is resolute in its commitment to dismantle organized crime and ensure peace and harmony across the state.
