Two miscreants get injured in an encounter with police in Ludhiana, both arrested

Ludhiana: An encounter took place between the police and criminals in Ludhiana, Punjab, during wee hours. At around, 3:30 am the encounter took place when the police opened fire on the criminals. Reportedly, two miscreants were shot in the legs after they opened fire on police. The police have arrested both of them.

At present, no official has officially confirmed this. The criminals have been admitted to the Civil Hospital in Ludhiana.

According to police sources, the police of Haibowal police station had received information from an informer that two accused of attempted murder were hiding in Ram Enclave. When the police raided, the criminals started changing their hideout after seeing the police. The police surrounded the criminals and asked them to surrender, but they opened fire on the police.

The police retaliated and fired at the criminals and overpowered them. Both the accused have been identified as Ravinder Singh resident Pratap Singhwala and Satinder Singh resident Haider Enclave. The police have admitted them to the Civil Hospital in an injured condition.

A case has been registered against both the accused in Haibowal police station

It has been learned that Ravinder has been shot in the right leg and Satinder in the left leg. A case was registered against both the accused in Haibowal police station on June 18, 2024.
