Two Pakistani spies arrested in Malerkotla for leaking Army information to Pak High Commission

Punjab's Malerkotla police has arrested two people who were sending confidential information related to the Indian army to Pakistan. This information was being sent to a Pakistani officer posted in the Pak High Commission (diplomatic embassy) in Delhi.

Malerkotla, May 11: Punjab’s Malerkotla police has arrested two people who were sending confidential information related to the Indian army to Pakistan. This information was being sent to a Pakistani officer posted in the Pak High Commission (diplomatic embassy) in Delhi.

These accused were getting online payments. They used to send information about the activities of the Indian Army to Pakistan in exchange for money. When the police got concrete information, one person was first caught, who revealed the name of the other person during interrogation and he was also arrested. Two mobile phones have been seized from them, and a case (FIR) has been registered.

Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav has shared information in this regard. He said- Punjab Police will continue to work in the same way for the security of the country and the state in future as well.

DGP said- used to leak activities of other agencies, including Army

Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav said- Punjab Police has got an important success. Malerkotla Police has arrested two spies associated with a Pakistani officer posted in the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi.

Based on intelligence inputs, one suspect was arrested for leaking sensitive information about Indian Army’s movements to a Pakistan-based handler. Based on revelations made during interrogation, the second accused was identified and arrested as well.

DGP said- the accused used to take money online

DGP Gaurav Yadav said- Preliminary investigation has revealed that the accused were receiving payments through online transactions in exchange for confidential information. They were in constant touch with the handler and used to note the activities along with other local youths as per his instructions. Police have recovered two mobile phones from the accused. An FIR has been registered against both of them for carrying out anti-national activities.
