Jalandhar: Late night in Jalandhar an uncontrolled pickup truck collided with an electric pole on the roadside, causing the transformer to fall to the ground. After the incident, the power of the entire area went off, and people caught the pickup driver on the spot and created a ruckus.
This incident occurred near Basti Bawa Khel Adda on Kapurthala Jalandhar Road. It was fortunate that there was no loss of life in the incident. But two people have been injured, who were admitted to the hospital for treatment with the help of people. Their condition is said to be out of danger.
Passerby Anmol said that at the time of the incident, the said pickup truck was coming from Jalandhar. During this, when it reached Basti Bawa Khel Adda, it went out of control and collided with an electric pole. The collision was so strong that the transformer fell immediately. With the help of passersby, the driver was rescued.
At the same time, two people standing on the roadside were injured, who suffered minor injuries. Ravi, an employee of the electricity department who reached the crime scene, said that the supply of the area had been stopped after the incident which would be restored as soon as possible.
