US Sikh Attorney Jaspreet Singh raises Amritpal Singh’s release issue with US Vice President Kamla Harris

Sikh attorney of the US met Kamala Harris, Vice President of USA. He said that his meeting has received a very positive response.

The issue of not releasing Amritpal Singh, Chief of Warris Punjab De and now MP from Khadoor Sahib Lok Sabha seat for the swearing-in ceremony in the Lok Sabha has reached the political corridors of America. Amritpal won by a huge margin of nearly two lakh votes from Lok Sabha Constituency Khadur Sahib. In this regard, the famous Sikh attorney of America Jaspreet Singh once again raised the issue of Amritpal in US.

The meeting took place in the city of Los Angeles, California, according to the time given by Kamala Harris. The meeting lasted for about an hour. During this meeting, Sikh attorney Jaspreet Singh put many other important issues related to Sikhs including Amritpal Singh before Kamala Harris.

Attorney Jaspreet Singh on the release of Amritpal Singh said that the latter has been arrested under NSA. Terming his arrest wrong and illegal, Jaspreet Singh mentioned that NSA on Amritpal has been extended for one year. He won the Lok Sabha election by a huge margin but was not allowed to take oath as an MP.

He also told Vice President Kamala Harris that there is evidence of human rights abuses in India. Attorney Jaspreet Singh also raised the issue of the release of Bandi Singhs, who have completed their sentences in Indian jails for a long time, with Kamala Harris. He said that many Sikhs are imprisoned in the jails of India even after completing their sentences. They should be released soon.

Thirdly, he talked about the Indian government’s attempt to attack some Sikh leaders living in America and told that many Sikh leaders are receiving various threats here in America. They also discussed other issues related to immigration. He also raised the fifth important issue of the ever-increasing hate crime (genocide) regarding the Sikhs living in America.
