Kapurthala: Victim farmer Balbir Singh, son of Shiv Singh, told the police that on August 14, at around 6 am, his servant Shyam Sundar came home and told him that the back door of the house was open. He had closed the door at night. When he went there, the contents of the cupboard were scattered. About 7 to 8 tolas of gold ornaments lying in the cupboard, about 70 to 80 thousand rupees, and some money kept in his wife’s purse were also missing.
