Jalandhar News: Senior Akali leader Jarnail Singh Wahad, his wife Rupinder Kaur Wahad and Sandeep Singh, who were arrested by the Vigilance Department for allegedly causing financial loss to the government by misappropriating land, were today brought to their house and a checking drive was conducted at their house.

A team led by DSP Jatinderjit Singh searched the house.

The search has been carried out after the court granted permission for the search warrant of Wahad’s house. The checking lasted for about two hours in the presence of Bar Council president and Wahad’s lawyer Karanjot Singh.

He said that the team has taken possession of all the papers lying in the house.
