On same lines as Hoshiarpur, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann along with Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Convenor Arvind Kejriwal will visit Gurdaspur today. Both leaders will inaugurate developmental projects worth Rs 1854 crore for Gurdaspur and surrounding areas. They will also address a huge rally later.
As a part of developmental projects, Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Inter State Bus Terminal will be inaugurated today by AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal. To solve the traffic problem in Gurdaspur, Tibari Road Under Railway Bridge has been constructed at a cost of Rs 21 crore. Tehsil complex is being prepared in Dinanagar at a cost of Rs 6.60 crore, in which Tehsil level offices will provide services to the people under one roof. Dinanagar sub tehsil office has also been prepared with a cost of Rs 2.36 crore.
Also, New link roads are being constructed at a cost of Rs 8.41 crore to facilitate transportation to 7 villages of Darya Ravi in Makora Patan. A new sewage treatment plant is being set up in Batala city at a cost of Rs 50 crore which will be completed in January 2024. Wadala Granthiyan Power Grid is being upgraded at a cost of Rs 360.83 crore.
District Hospital Pathankot is being upgraded at a cost of Rs 56.88 crore and District Hospital Pathankot is being upgraded at a cost of Rs 53.30 crore. Under this, the work of health care infrastructure, OPD, Lab, OT and parking is being done.
Till now 47 Aam Aadmi Clinics are serving the people in Gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency and apart from this, 9 new Aam Aadmi Clinics are being inaugurated and approval has been received to open 31 more new clinics.
A total of 5 Schools of Eminence are being progress in the Lok Sabha constituency by the Punjab Government to further raise the level of quality education.
To connect the public with Yoga, the Punjab Government has opened 50 CM Di Yogashalas at various places in the Lok Sabha constituency Gurdaspur and people are being trained in Yoga by experienced trainers and till now more than 1000 people have been benefited from them.
