Bathinda: In the village Sheikhpura of subdivision Talwandi Sabo of Bathinda district of Punjab, brothers killed their brother due to a land dispute. The body of the deceased has been sent for a postmortem to Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Civil Hospital in Talwandi Sabo.
The family members of the deceased have demanded strict action against the accused. The police are saying that they will register a case and investigate.
Sinder Kaur, wife of deceased Ajaib Singh, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, said that there was a dispute going on over two kanal land. When they were sowing paddy in their field, Ajaib Singh’s brothers Jagga Singh, Megha Singh Darshan Singh, Jagdeep Singh, and Gursevak Singh attacked him with a sharp weapon and picked him up and threw him away after beating him. When Ajay Singh was brought to the hospital in an injured condition, the doctors declared him dead.
The deceased’s wife said that despite repeated requests, the police did not take any action. Due to this, the family was attacked. The victim said that although the police had registered a case, no strict action was taken in this case. Now the deceased’s wife and family members have taken this matter seriously and have demanded strict action against the culprits. The police handed over the deceased to the family after the post-mortem at the Civil Hospital. A case has been registered against many people, including the deceased’s brother. DSP Talwandi Sabo Rajesh Sanehi said that raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
