Farmers sitting on the borders of Haryana have now thrown the decision of going to Delhi in the hands of the central government. Kisan Mazdoor Morcha leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that we will go to Delhi only if the government opens the closed roads.
Sarwan Singh Pandher said that we have been sitting on the borders of Haryana for 26 days. In such a situation, the Haryana government has closed all avenues for us. Now we have decided that we will sit on the border between Khanauri and Shambhu until the central and Haryana governments open the way for us.
It is clear from this that it may be difficult for the farmers sitting on the border of Shambhu and Khanauri to go to Delhi. Because the central government is claiming that we are appealing to the farmers that the issue will be resolved only through the meeting. Farmers can meet us once again.
Bharatiya Kisan Union Dallewal and Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee had announced to go to Delhi on February 13. On February 12, all the farmers had reached the borders of Khanuri and Shambhu. Seeing the arrival of farmers, the Haryana government sealed both the borders with heavy barricading.
On February 13, as the farmers started to advance from Shambhu and Khanauri, the Haryana Police fired tear gas shells and rubber bullets. Then the farmers postponed their march to Delhi for a week. After this, he announced to go to Delhi on February 21, but the farmers could not move forward even then.
Now the farmers have decided that until the Haryana government itself opens the roads, we will move forward only then. Otherwise Shambhu and Khanauri will remain sitting on the border.
