Yellow alert for rain in 14 districts of Punjab today, weather to remain clear for next 5 days

According to the Meteorological Center, a yellow alert has been issued for rain today in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, Ludhiana, Mohali, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, and Sangrur of Punjab. While the weather will be normal in all other districts.

There are 7 districts in Punjab where less than normal rainfall has been recorded. These include Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Mohali, Sangrur, Bathinda and Muktsar. Up to 58 percent less rainfall has been recorded in these cities.

On the other hand, Ludhiana, Amritsar, Tarn Taran and Faridkot districts have recorded more rainfall than normal. Ludhiana has received 181.9 mm rainfall, while Amritsar has received 163.4 mm of rainfall.
