According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of rain in Punjab till the end of November. This means the weather will remain dry. Along with this, no alert has been issued regarding smoke in Punjab and Chandigarh for the next two days. But from November 27, there is a possibility of fog once again in some areas of Punjab, the effect of which will remain for a few days.
The day temperature in Punjab is normal but the night temperature is still higher than normal. The night temperature in Punjab is 2.9 degrees above normal and most cities are between 10 and 15 degrees. While the temperature in Chandigarh is 0.7 degrees higher.
The air pollution levels in Chandigarh and Punjab are currently alarming, although the situation in Punjab is relatively better. Chandigarh recorded an air quality index (AQI) of 357 yesterday, which falls in the “very poor” category. This is slightly better than yesterday. The pollution levels in major cities of Punjab such as Amritsar (280), Jalandhar (275) and Ludhiana (333) also remained in the “poor” to “very poor” category.
