Punjab’s temperature drops by 1.9 degrees: Yellow alert for heatwave in two districts; will reach 45 again in 5 days

The havoc of heat continues in Punjab. After a slight drop in temperature, the temperature is rising again. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature is likely to be 41 degrees Celsius today

Chandigarh: Due to Western Disturbance, the situation in Punjab has become normal. On Sunday morning, the average minimum temperature of Punjab saw a drop of 1.9 degrees. At the same time, the maximum temperature on Saturday evening was also recorded 0.9 degrees lower than the previous day. According to the Meteorological Department, heatwave will again intensify in most areas of Punjab by June 12.

According to the information released by the Meteorological Department, there is a heatwave alert in two areas of Punjab bordering Rajasthan, Bathinda and Mansa. Here the temperature can reach 45 degrees. Whereas last evening the temperature of most of the cities was recorded at 40 degrees or less. This is a relief from the heat for the people.

Western Disturbance declining

Western Disturbance was active in Punjab for the last few days. Due to which it also rained in some areas of Punjab. At the same time, the temperature which had reached 49 degrees in all the districts of Punjab also saw a decline.

But now the effect of Western Disturbance is decreasing. Due to which now gradually all the districts of Punjab will again come under the influence of heatwave.

On June 10, yellow alert of heatwave has been issued in Fazilka and Muktsar like Bathinda and Mansa. Whereas on June 11, the effect of heatwave will be seen in entire western Malwa. Whereas on June 12, heatwave alert has been issued in entire Punjab except Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr and Rupnagar.

That is, the temperature in Punjab can reach close to 45 degrees by June 12.

Know the temperature of cities of Punjab

Amritsar- Today’s minimum temperature was recorded at 24.2 degrees. Today this temperature is expected to reach close to 41 degrees.

Jalandhar- Today the minimum temperature was recorded at 22 degrees. This temperature is expected to be close to 39 degrees today.

Ludhiana- Today the minimum temperature was recorded at 25.4 degrees, today the maximum temperature can reach 39 degrees.

Patiala- Minimum temperature was recorded at 27 degrees. Today it is estimated that the maximum temperature of the city can reach 42 degrees.

Mohali- Minimum temperature was recorded at 39.3 degrees. Today this temperature will reach 41 degrees.

Keep these things in mind
The Meteorological Department has issued a warning due to heatwave and advised to wear loose and cotton clothes while leaving the house. If not needed, do not go out during the day. Go out in the sun with an umbrella. Keep the doors of the house open, so that there is air ventilation. Keep drinking water frequently. Keep consuming lemonade, coconut water and salad in the food.
