Yellow and orange alert for Dense fog in Punjab, Weather to change after January 9

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will change on the night of January 9.

Chandigarh: Cold wave continues in Punjab and Chandigarh. Today the Meteorological Department has issued a very dense fog alert in 23 districts of Punjab. In 24 hours, the temperature of the state has decreased by 0.4 degrees. While it has reached close to normal temperature. Pathankot has recorded the highest temperature of 22.2 degrees. At the same time, the temperature in Chandigarh was 22.8 degrees.

There is no rain alert till January 9. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a dense fog alert in 6 districts for the next three hours. These districts include Amritsar, Firozpur, Gurdaspur, Jalandhar, Kapurthala, and Tarn Taran. In such a situation, visibility at some places can remain between 0 to 2 meters. This alert has been issued till 9 am.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for dense fog in 12 districts Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahr, Fazilka, Faridkot, Muktsar, Bathinda, Fatehgarh Sahib, Rupnagar, Patiala and Mohali. While there is an orange alert for dense to very dense fog in Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ferozepur, Moga, Ludhiana, Barnala, Mansa, Sangrur and Malerkotla.

According to the Meteorological Department, the weather will change on the night of January 9. After this, there is a possibility of rain at some places for the next 4 days. The sky will be cloudy. During this time, the temperature will be between 18 degrees to 24 degrees. This temperature will be equal to the average maximum temperature of the state.
