Bathinda: A young man who came to meet his girlfriend in Nar Singh Colony under the Pathrala police station area of Bathinda was caught by the people of the woman’s colony and tied to a tree. After this, the police were called, and the accused youth was handed over to the police.

Maninder Singh, a resident of Nar Singh Colony, said that when he came home from the field this morning, a bike was standing unclaimed near the house.

After a while, a young man came to take the bike; he questioned him, and the young man got agitated. He said that in the meantime, other people from the colony also came. When they questioned the young man, it was found that he kept coming to meet his female friend living in the colony.

He said that the accused youth had been explained earlier as well. But he did not agree, and he kept coming to meet his female friend. He told me that today the young man was tied to a tree and beaten up a little. Later, the police were called, and the youth were handed over to them.

Charge of Police Post Pathrala, Rajpal Singh, said that a compromise has been reached between the colony residents and the youth. At present, he has pleaded not to take any action.
