Ludhiana: A young man died in suspicious circumstances in a hotel in Ludhiana, Punjab. The girl screamed after seeing the young man hanging from a rope. When the door of the room did not open, the hotel manager immediately reached the spot with the staff. They opened the door of the hotel. There were also marks of cuts from a sharp weapon on the girl’s hand. The young man was hanging from a rope. The name of the dead youth is Gagandeep Singh (35). The police also found narcotic pills from the young man’s pocket.
Giving information, Amit Kumar said that he is an employee in a hotel in the Moti Nagar area. In the afternoon, a young man named Gagandeep came to rent a room with a girl. Both had submitted their identity cards. Late in the evening, the girl’s screams started coming from Gagandeep’s room.
His call came to the hotel reception. The girl was not able to open the door of the room. Somehow, when the hotel staff opened the door, everyone was stunned. Gagandeep’s body was hanging from the fan. No one knows under what circumstances Gagandeep committed suicide.
The name of the girl who had come to stay with Gagandeep in the hotel is Gurpreet Kaur. Gurpreet has cut marks on her arm. Her condition was also serious. It is not known what the dispute was about between the two. The hotel operators immediately informed the police. Police from Moti Nagar police station reached the spot.
According to SHO Varinder Uppal, the body of the youth has been taken into custody and kept for postmortem. The relatives of the deceased are being informed. The girl has been admitted to a private hospital. The police are investigating the matter.
