Jalandhar: In Jalandhar, Punjab, near Lamba Pind Chowk, a young man passing by the road came in contact with the electric wire while talking on the phone. Due to which he died. The said electric wire was lying unclaimed on the road. Due to the mistake of Powercom, the said 21-year-old youth lost his life.
The body of Lucky, a resident of Hardayal Nagar, Santokhpura, 21 years old, has been taken into custody by Jalandhar Commissionerate Police and sent to Civil Hospital Jalandhar for postmortem. The matter is now being investigated by Jalandhar City Police.
Electric wire was lying on the road
According to the information, the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon. When Lucky was going towards Lamba Pind Chowk while talking to someone on his phone. During this, his foot collided with the naked electric wires lying on the road. Due to which Lucky got a strong electric shock.
When Lucky got an electric shock, he fell down immediately. People nearby immediately ran to Lucky. By then Lucky was lying unconscious on the road. After a few seconds, Lucky stopped breathing. People are very angry with this negligence of Powercom.
People expressed anger against the electricity department
A video of the incident spot has also surfaced. In which people nearby are seen cursing Punjab Powercom and saying that because of government employees like these, people are losing their lives. People said that who is responsible for the death of the youth. Bills are sent to the people, but no attention is paid to their safety. The said wire had fallen down from the electricity pole. At present, no statement has been issued by Powercom in this matter.
