The CIA Staff 2 team had received information that Jaskaran Singh, a resident of Model Town, got down from a Thar car near Bathinda Cantt Road and fired in the air. Jaskaran Singh uploaded a video on social media while displaying weapons. Taking action on the complaint of Havildar Harvinder Singh, the Cantt police station has registered a case against Jaskaran Singh under the BNS and Arms Act and arrested him.

Punjab Police instructed the youth not to display weapons on social media. If anyone is found doing this, strict action will be taken against him, but still, people are continuously displaying weapons on social media. Due to this, the police have now started legal action against those displaying weapons, and people are being arrested by registering cases.
