During his appearance in court today, the police may seek further police remand of the accused. Jasbir Singh is a resident of Mahalan village in Rupnagar and has more than 1 million subscribers on his YouTube channel ‘Jaan Mahal’. He has visited Pakistan 3 times.

Police investigation has revealed that he was in contact with ISI agent Shakir alias Jatt Randhawa. He was also in contact with YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra arrested from Haryana and expelled officer Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish from the Pakistani High Commission.

State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) DSP Pawan Sharma said that a case has been registered against Jasbir Singh in Mohali. He was produced in court on Wednesday and taken on 3-day remand.
