Yudh Nashian Virudh: Bulldozers razed houses of drug smugglers in Jalandhar

The police party reached the spot with a bulldozer and about 60 to 70 employees to take action.

In Jalandhar today, i.e., on Wednesday, the police demolished the houses of two drug smugglers, including a female drug smuggler, as part of the government’s campaign against drugs ‘Yudh Nashian Virudh’. As part of the campaign against drugs, today, the Commissionerate Police, with the help of the Municipal Corporation teams, demolished the houses of female drug smugglers Nisha Chaudhary and Dilip Singh in Ashok Vihar, Jalandhar.

The police party reached the spot with a bulldozer and about 60 to 70 employees to take action.

ADCP Akarshi Jain, who reached the spot, said, “This action has been taken today under the campaign of the Punjab Government. The Municipal Corporation had marked some properties and told us. Under this, both these actions have been taken. Police protection was demanded by the Municipal Corporation. Due to which today, i.e. on Wednesday, more than 60 employees have reached for action.”

ADCP Akarshi Jain said, “6 cases of NDPS Act are registered against female drug smuggler Nisha Khan alias Nisha Chaudhary. The second accused is drug smuggler Dilip Singh alias Dilip, against whom several cases of drug smuggling are registered. Both of them had done illegal construction with the money earned from drug smuggling. Due to which this action has been taken. Both the accused are currently out of police custody.”
