Zirakpur Spoof Call racket busted: 21 arrested including two foreign nationals

Mohali: Busting a spoof call racket operated in Zirakpur, Police have arrested total of 21 persons involved the fraudulent activities. The call racket was operated from the hideouts in Zirakpur. The arrested 21 accused include 4 kingpins and 4 women. The racket also involved foreign nationals out of which 2 have been arrested by the.

Mohali: Busting a spoof call racket operated in Zirakpur, Police have arrested total of 21 persons involved the fraudulent activities. The call racket was operated from the hideouts in Zirakpur. The arrested 21 accused include 4 kingpins and 4 women. The racket also involved foreign nationals out of which 2 have been arrested by the Mohali Police.

Mohali Police after the arrest presented them before the court where they were remanded to 3-4 days of Police custody. Giving information about this, Chief Police Officer Zirakpur Jaskawal Singh Sekho said that a raid was conducted in an area based on secret information. Police received information about the racket misleading people and hack their bank accounts by sending fake Urls.

The racket used to make spoof calls and dupe people by extorting money. Police after getting confirmed information raided the hideouts and arrested 21 people involved in this.

Muhammad Nadeem Qureshi, Tauseef Ahmer Jattu (residents of Sikar in Rajasthan), Akash Bisht of Dehradun and Umer Jaufari of Zirakpur. The arrested women were identified as Ria Chaudhary, Malti, Shivani and Akshra. The two foreign nationals were identified as Chelifia Singhu of Zambia and Leol of Sudan.
