Punjabi Comedy King Jaswinder Bhalla’s final prayer meet today

The Bhog and Antim Ardas (Prayer Meet) of Jaswinder Bhalla, a famous comedian of Punjabi films, will be organized today at Gurudwara Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib in Sector-34, Chandigarh. Big personalities of Punjabi film industry will arrive there, for which the police have also made preparations.

Jaswinder Bhalla’s demise

Bhalla died of a brain stroke on the morning of 22 August at the age of 65. He was born on 4 May 1960 in Doraha town of Ludhiana. On the demise of Bhalla, big personalities of the Punjabi film industry as well as well-known personalities from politics and society, also came to pay tribute.

Last rites performed in Mohali

Jaswinder Bhalla was cremated in Mohali on 23 August, where his son Pukhraj lit the funeral pyre. During this, Punjabi stars Gippy Grewal and Binu Dhillon bid adieu to him with tearful eyes. A large number of his fans had also gathered at the crematorium. Strict police arrangements were made to handle the crowd.

During the funeral, Neeru Bajwa, Hansraj Hans, Amar Noori, Mankirt Aulakh, Jimmy Shergill and comedian BN Sharma were present from the Punjabi film world. From the political world, many leaders including Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar, AAP government minister Tarunpreet Saundh and former minister Balbir Sidhu also came to pay tribute.
