Punjabi Singer Ammy Virk’s Car Attacked in Canada After Show, 7 Shots Fired

Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk has reportedly been targeted in a shooting incident in Canada following a show. The incident took place after a show on Saturday. Initially, it was reported that a car had come under gunfire, but organisers have now clarified that Punjabi singer Ammy Virk was also inside the vehicle.

However, as the vehicle was a Rolls-Royce Cullinan, one of the world’s most expensive cars, the bullets could not penetrate through it. The car was hit by seven bullets. The rear windshield sustained the most damage.

The incident took place at around 11 p.m. in Abbotsford, Canada. Near McCallum Road and South Fraser Way, an unidentified shooter fired multiple rounds at a luxury Rolls-Royce Cullinan. Four people, including renowned Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk, were inside the vehicle and escaped unharmed.

According to information, Ammy Virk had just left the venue after finishing his show at the Roger Forum in Abbotsford when seven to 10 rounds were fired at his vehicle. The bullets hit the rear windshield of the car, but no one inside was injured.

Suspected SUV Used In Attack Found Burnt

Apart from Ammy Virk, a person from Surrey, who has previously survived three assassination attempts, was also travelling in the vehicle. After the incident, the attackers fled the scene and set fire to the suspected SUV used in the attack near Sunnyside Place, around five kilometres away from the shooting site. Police have confirmed both the shooting and the vehicle-burning incident. However, citing privacy concerns, police have refused to clarify who the main target of the attack was.

Concern Grows Over Punjabi Singers Touring Canada

Police are investigating the matter seriously. In Canada, setting a vehicle on fire to destroy evidence is generally associated with major crimes or attempts at targeted killings. Prominent names from the Punjabi music and film industry, as well as relatives of those travelling in the vehicle, have confirmed Ammy Virk’s presence in the car. The Punjabi industry has already endured the tragic loss of Sidhu Moosewala, and the latest incident has once again raised concerns among artists and their families.
