R. Madhavan Backs Government Action on NEET Row, Urges Students Not to Lose Faith

Mumbai: Actor R. Madhavan has expressed confidence that the government will take necessary corrective measures following the alleged NEET paper leak controversy, while urging students not to lose hope and continue believing in their abilities.

Sharing a detailed statement on social media, Madhavan said that education plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the country and that every student deserves a fair, transparent and merit-based system.

The actor acknowledged the concerns and disappointment among students and parents over the controversy, saying incidents like examination paper leaks can affect the dreams and hard work of thousands of young aspirants.

Madhavan urges strict action against those responsible

Madhavan called for swift and decisive action against individuals found responsible for compromising the examination system.

He said accountability is necessary to ensure that such incidents do not damage the confidence of students in the country’s education system.

The actor stressed that the examination process must maintain trust, fairness and equal opportunities for students.

Madhavan said he believes the government will strengthen the system and introduce measures to safeguard the credibility of examinations.

“Having acknowledged lapses in the past regarding this incident, I have faith that our government will take the necessary corrective measures, strengthen the system, and safeguard the integrity of education for generations to come,” he said.

Students should not let setbacks define their future, says Madhavan

Addressing students affected by the controversy, Madhavan encouraged them to remain confident and continue working towards their goals.

He said temporary setbacks should not define the future of young people and urged students to focus on their talent, perseverance and determination.

His statement comes amid nationwide protests by students demanding greater transparency in competitive examinations, strict action against those involved in alleged irregularities and accountability over the NEET controversy.

Activist Sonam Wangchuk has also expressed support for protesting students and undertook a hunger strike over the issue. He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Delhi.
