Major Breakthrough in Radaur Firing Case: Absconding accused Aman injured in Police Encounter

The police have achieved a breakthrough in the firing incident that took place in Bhure Ka Majra village, within the jurisdiction of the Radaur police station in Yamunanagar.

The Crime Branch team apprehended the absconding accused, Aman alias Noni, who was named in this case, following an encounter. This encounter occurred near the Kulpur railway crossing, under the jurisdiction of the Chhapar police station, during which the accused sustained injuries.

According to reports, Aman is a resident of Goyal Khurd village in Panipat and is alleged to be an active member of the Kala Rana gang. He had been absconding for a considerable period, and a reward of ₹5,000 had been declared for his arrest.

Police received a tip-off 

The police had received a tip-off that the accused was plotting to carry out another shooting incident in the Radaur area. Acting on this intelligence, the police implemented a district-wide sealing plan, setting up roadblocks and launching a search operation.

Accused Aman opened fire on Police 

Near Kulpur on Shahbad Road, police officers spotted a suspicious young man. When the police team attempted to stop and question him, he suddenly opened fire. It is reported that the accused fired approximately 10 to 15 rounds.

The police returned fire in self-defense, resulting in the accused sustaining a gunshot wound to his left leg, causing him to collapse at the scene.

The police team immediately overpowered and apprehended him. A motorcycle, an illegal firearm, and 22 live cartridges were recovered from the accused’s possession. In his injured state, the accused was immediately admitted to the Civil Hospital in Yamunanagar, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
