Radha Yadav Stars as India A Enter Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars Final

Bangkok: Captain Radha Yadav delivered a sensational all-round performance to power India A to a five-wicket win over Sri Lanka A in the first semi-final of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 at the Terdthai Cricket Ground on Friday, sealing their place in the final in style. Radha’s four-fer helped bowl out Sri Lanka A for just 118 runs in 19.4 overs, while her unbeaten 31 guided India in the chase.

    Sri Lanka A Batting Collapse

Sri Lanka openers Hansima Karunaratne and Sanjana Kavindi started briskly with 36 runs in four overs, but back-to-back wickets disrupted the innings. Sanjana added 28 runs with Sathya Sandeepani before being dismissed for 31 in the 11th over. Sandeepani followed in the 13th over as India’s bowlers, led by Radha and supported by Prema Rawat and Tanuja Kanwer (two wickets each), triggered a collapse.

India’s Chase Backed by Key Contributions

Chasing 119, India lost early wickets but young batter Anushka Sharma counter-attacked with 27 runs, while opener Dinesh Vrinda scored a quick 42 off 20 balls before being run out. Despite losing wickets, India remained in control and required just 31 runs at the end of the 10th over.

    Radha Hits Winning Shot

India completed the chase in 13.3 overs, with skipper Radha hitting the winning four and remaining unbeaten on 31. With this victory, India A advanced to the final at the same ground on Sunday, where they will face the winner of the Pakistan vs Bangladesh semi-final.
