New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Raghav Chadha shared photos on social media on Monday, showing him reading American author Robert Greene’s book The 48 Laws of Power. He wrote that the book’s availability at this time was “hard to ignore,” which is being linked to recent developments within the AAP.
Emphasis on the book’s first chapter
Chadha shared a photo highlighting the book’s first chapter, “Never Outshine the Master,” and wrote, “I started with Chapter 1.” This chapter emphasizes the importance of always making your superiors feel superior and presenting your talents in a way that doesn’t create insecurity. Chadha responded to this by saying, “The timing speaks volumes,” and in another post, wrote, “Some books come at the right time.”
Statement after AAP’s decisions
His post comes at a time when the Aam Aadmi Party has removed him from the post of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha. The party has also indicated that he will not be given the opportunity to speak in the Rajya Sabha from the party’s quota. Chadha is considered one of the party’s young and prominent faces.
Chadha’s response to the allegations
The AAP leadership has accused him of engaging in “soft PR” and avoiding direct criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP. Chadha has dismissed these allegations in several social media posts. He used film dialogues like “I am injured, therefore I am deadly” and “The picture is still left” to make his point, calling the allegations “completely false” and “politically motivated.”
Referring to work in Parliament
Chadha, in a post on X, highlighted his activism by highlighting issues raised in Parliament. He also mentioned his initiatives on religious and cultural issues, such as the expansion of the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor and improved access to Nankana Sahib. He called this an “organized propaganda campaign” against him, saying, “No amount of propaganda can silence my voice; the truth and facts will come out.”
