Raghav Chadha Shares Uzbekistan Speech on Social Media, Highlights India’s Digital Inclusion

New Delhi: Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha prominently raised the issues of digital rights and equitable digital access at the 12th IPU Conference held in Uzbekistan. He shared his views on the theme ‘Digital Access and Rights in the Digital Age.’

Later, sharing key excerpts from his address on social media, Chadha stated that India has demonstrated how digital advancement and inclusion can progress hand-in-hand. He noted that over a billion people in the country are digitally connected and that UPI has made instant digital payments an integral part of everyday life.

 ‘Connecting Without Discrimination, Innovating Without Exploitation’

Chadha remarked that technology plays a pivotal role in expanding access and creating new opportunities. Envisioning the digital future, he stated that technology should be such that it “connects without excluding anyone, innovates without exploitation, and ensures security without control.”

Equal Opportunities: From Affordable Phones to Impoverished Districts

The Rajya Sabha MP asserted that the true success of the digital age would not be measured by how smart our machines become, but by whether a person using the most affordable phone or living in the poorest district enjoys the same access, security, and opportunities as everyone else.

He emphasized the need to prioritize equity, inclusion, security, and individual rights in digital development.
