Rain Lashes 6 Haryana Districts, Storms Hit 8; Hailstorm in Hansi, Tornado Spotted in Bhiwani

In Haryana, the weather suddenly changed in the afternoon. After strong sunshine in the Delhi-Chandigarh belt, dark clouds have appeared. Light rain along with hail fell in Hansi. Storms and high winds are happening in Hisar, Sirsa, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Narnaul, Rewari, Sonipat, and Panipat. A dust whirl about 100 meters high was seen in Siwani, Bhiwani.

Rain occurred in Sonipat, Fatehabad, Gurugram, Faridabad, Hansi, and Sirsa. In Gurugram, rainwater collected on the roads. The meteorological department has issued an alert for rain with thunder in 15 districts.

After two days of clear weather, the average maximum temperature increased by 3.2 degrees Celsius, although the temperature is still 1.8 degrees below normal. The weather department expects the maximum temperature to rise by up to 5 degrees over the next five days.

On Monday morning, Sonepat experienced drizzle with strong winds. Medium to heavy rain was recorded in rural areas. Along with this, heavy rain also occurred in Gurugram, which caused water to accumulate on the roads of Sector-31. By afternoon, it rained in Dabwali of Fatehabad and Sirsa.

Along with this, the meteorological department has predicted the possibility of light rain over the next three days. An alert for storms has been issued for Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Mewat (Nuh), Palwal, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sonepat, Panipat, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Bhiwani, and Charkhi Dadri.

After the morning rain, a storm started in Sonepat in the afternoon. In Hansi, there was light rain along with hail. Additionally, a dust whirl occurred in Siwani of Bhiwani. Dust storms are also ongoing in Narnaul, Rewari, Hisar, Rohtak, Sirsa, and Panipat.

Maximum temperature reached 40°C

According to the meteorological department’s data, Rohtak was the hottest place in the state on Sunday at 41°C. Mahendragarh recorded 37.2°C, Narnaul 39.0°C, Bhiwani 39.5°C, Hisar 38.6°C, and Gurugram 37.0°C.

No heatwave at the moment

The meteorological department says that even after the rise in temperatures, the state is not currently experiencing a heatwave. However, people have been advised to take precautions during the afternoon as temperatures are expected to rise rapidly in the coming days.
