Raj Kundra announces donation of ‘Meher’ earnings to Punjab flood victims

Amritsar, Sep 1: There is a flood situation in Punjab at this time. People are in trouble. In such a situation, everyone is engaged in helping from their side. Meanwhile, Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband and actor Raj Kundra has also come forward to help. He has announced that the first day box office earnings of his upcoming Punjabi film Mehar will be given to the flood victims.

Raj Kundra shared this information on his Instagram account and appealed to people to come forward to help the needy. He visited some flood-affected villages today and said that he was deeply saddened to see the situation there.

He wrote that cinema can wait, but these people have lost their homes, bread and basic necessities of life and they need help immediately.

For this reason, the first day’s earnings of his film Meher will be donated to flood relief. Raj Kundra called it a human responsibility more than a film and said that God should bless Punjab and all the affected people.

He told the people that all Punjabis should come forward and help in this difficult time.

The release date of the film will change.

Meher is his first Punjabi film in which he will be seen as an actor. Apart from Geeta Basra, Baninder Bani, Savita Bhatti, Rupinder Rupi, Deep Mandeep, Ashish Duggal, Hobby Dhaliwal, Tarsem Paul and Kulveer Soni will also be seen in important roles. This film was earlier scheduled to be released on September 5. But now its date will change.
