Jaipur: The Rajasthan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) announced its 154-member State Working Committee after appointing state office-bearers. The committee includes 12 permanent invitees and several prominent leaders from across the state.
Former Congress Leaders Join BJP Committee
Three leaders who were previously associated with the Congress—Lalchand Kataria, Jyoti Khandelwal, and Girraj Singh Malinga—have been inducted into the new State Working Committee, marking a notable inclusion at the state level.
Representation and Regional Balance
The committee includes Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu, former state presidents, and 20 women leaders. Representation from every district has been ensured for regional balance.
Organisational Expansion Ahead
The State Working Committee is key to strengthening the party structure, passing resolutions, and planning further organisational expansion, especially after the creation of eight new administrative districts in Rajasthan. The first meeting of the newly formed committee is expected soon.
