Bhajan Lal Sharma on Monday emphasised that public grievances must be resolved promptly and effectively, directing officials to ensure regular monitoring and time-bound action on complaints raised by citizens.
The Chief Minister made these remarks while presiding over a public hearing at his residence in Jaipur, where he personally listened to complaints from people across various sections of society.
During the session, Sharma interacted with citizens with sensitivity and directed concerned departments to address their issues without delay. Many grievances were resolved on the spot, with complainants expressing satisfaction over the swift response from the administration.
The Chief Minister stressed that citizens approach such forums with hope and trust, and it is the responsibility of officials to meet these expectations. He instructed departments to treat every complaint as a priority and ensure that no case remains pending unnecessarily.
He further underlined that effective governance depends on timely service delivery and accountability, adding that regular monitoring of complaints is essential to maintain efficiency in the system.
Sharma directed officials to establish a robust monitoring mechanism to track the progress of complaints and ensure their quick resolution.
He emphasised that pending grievances should be reviewed regularly and resolved within stipulated timelines. The administration has been actively working to strengthen grievance redressal systems, including digital platforms and helplines, to improve accessibility and transparency.
Officials have also been asked to personally review unresolved cases and engage directly with complainants to ensure satisfactory outcomes.
During the hearing, complaints related to multiple departments were presented, including rural development, agriculture, labour, home, revenue, education, health, drinking water, and municipal services.
The Chief Minister issued necessary instructions to respective departments to take immediate action and provide relief to the affected individuals.
Special attention was given to grievances raised by women, senior citizens, and differently abled persons, reflecting the government’s focus on inclusive governance.
Reiterating the government’s commitment to welfare, Sharma said that efforts are being made to ensure that the benefits of public schemes reach the “last person in the line.”
He highlighted that transparency, accountability, and responsiveness are key pillars of the administration’s approach to governance. Public hearings and grievance redressal initiatives are part of a broader strategy to bridge the gap between citizens and the government.
The initiative is seen as a step towards strengthening citizen-centric governance in Rajasthan, where authorities are increasingly focusing on resolving issues at the grassroots level.
With regular monitoring and direct engagement, the government aims to build trust among citizens and ensure that their concerns are addressed efficiently and without delay.
