The state experienced its coldest day and night of the season on Sunday. Jaipur, Sikar, Pilani (Jhunjhunu), and Jhunjhunu experienced their coldest nights of the season on Sunday.

The minimum night temperature was recorded below 5 degrees Celsius in seven cities, while the maximum day temperature was recorded below 20 degrees Celsius in 18 cities on Sunday.

The cold wave will continue for four days.

Kota and Baran experienced freezing temperatures during the day, with the maximum daytime temperature dropping below 14 degrees Celsius. Weather experts predict severe cold will persist in Rajasthan for the next week, while the districts of the Jaipur division will experience a four-day cold wave.

Dense fog enveloped Udaipur’s urban areas

Dense fog also enveloped the Parbatsar area since morning. In Didwana, the fog began to increase after 7 a.m., and by 8 a.m., the city and surrounding areas were covered in dense haze. Vehicle headlights remained on due to the fog.

The situation was similar in the districts of Jaipur, Bharatpur, and Ajmer divisions. Temperatures dropped significantly in the Shekhawati belt (Sikar, Fatehpur, Pilani, and Jhunjhunu) of Jaipur division on Sunday. In Fatehpur (Sikar), the minimum temperature reached freezing point, causing dewdrops to freeze in the fields.
