Dense fog prevailed in Alwar, Sriganganagar and Jaisalmer in Rajasthan on Monday morning. Due to fog, visibility reduced to 20 metres in Alwar and only 5 metres in Sriganganagar, causing a lot of trouble for drivers.

Due to dense fog, a bus going from Jaipur to Sriganganagar derailed in Sadulshahr area of ​​Sriganganagar. However, the driver cautiously brought the bus back on the road later, averting a major accident.

The impact of the Western Disturbance was limited in the state on Sunday. As a result, light clouds covered most parts of Bikaner, Jodhpur, Ajmer and Jaipur divisions. The cloud cover led to a drop in maximum temperatures in several cities, while the minimum temperatures increased due to weakening of cold winds.

According to the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, the weather in the state will remain dry for the next five days. No rain or active system is expected during this period.

In the last 24 hours, Jaipur, Sikar, Dausa, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, Alwar, Ajmer and Barmer witnessed light cloud cover. As a result, sunlight remained weak in these cities on Sunday. Fog persisted in Sriganganagar and Hanumangarh areas till 10-11 am.

Increase in night temperature provides relief from cold

The presence of clouds and weak northerly winds have increased the night temperature. This has given some relief from the severe cold to the people of Shekhawati region. In the last two days, the minimum temperature has increased by about 3 degrees Celsius in Sikar, Fatehpur, Churu, Jhunjhunu and Pilani regions.
