Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court on Wednesday received yet another bomb threat—the second in two consecutive days and the fifth in just six weeks.
The latest threat came through an email, immediately triggering an emergency response by security agencies.
Bomb disposal and dog squads rushed to the High Court premises, which were promptly placed under high alert.
Two-Hour Search Operation Finds No Explosive
Security teams began a detailed sweep of the complex from 8 a.m., inspecting the Satyamev Jayate building, parking zone, record rooms, and other key areas. After a two-hour exhaustive search, no suspicious items were found.
The court premises were subsequently declared safe, and judicial proceedings resumed at 11:30 a.m.
Threats Coincide With Bar Association Elections
The fresh threat comes at a sensitive time, as the Rajasthan High Court Bar Association elections are scheduled for Thursday, December 11.
This follows earlier hoax emails received on October 31, December 5, December 8, and December 9, raising concerns about lapses in security and the potential for disruption during crucial periods.
Repeated Hoaxes Disrupt Court Functioning
The recent threats have repeatedly forced evacuations, halted hearings, and created widespread anxiety among lawyers, staff, and litigants.
Both Tuesday and Wednesday saw complete clearance of the premises until safety was confirmed.
Cyber Cell to Probe Source of Emails
With the latest threat also deemed a hoax, the case has been transferred to the Cyber Cell for deeper investigation and technical analysis.
Authorities are now working to enhance surveillance, tighten entry checkpoints, and strengthen overall security measures.
The public has been urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to prevent future disruptions.
