Rajasthan heatwave: temp to cross 40°C, 12 cities above 35

With the period of storms and rain coming to a halt in Rajasthan, the heat has gradually begun to increase. Since Sunday morning, the sky has remained clear, and as the sun came out, the heat slightly increased.

Apart from the western districts, in more than 12 districts in the east and south, the maximum temperature during the day on Sunday was recorded between 35 and 40 degrees Celsius. Along with the day, in some cities, the coolness at night has also started to decrease. The minimum temperature here has started to be recorded above 20 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Center Jaipur has predicted that the sky will remain clear in the state for the next 4-5 days and the temperature may increase by 3-4 degrees Celsius.

Looking at the weather in the last 24 hours, the sky remained clear in all cities of the state. In the districts of Bikaner and Jodhpur divisions, the sun shone brightly since morning, and the heat persisted until late evening. The highest maximum temperature of the day on Sunday, 39.4 degrees Celsius, was recorded in Barmer.

Chittorgarh, Jaisalmer recorded a maximum temperature of 37.6, Jodhpur, Kota 37.4, Phalodi 37.8, Pratapgarh 37.2, Jalore, Udaipur 37.1, Bikaner 36.4, Banasthali (Tonk) 36.1, Pilani (Jhunjhunu), Shri Ganganagar, Churu 35.8, Dausa, Karauli 35.4, Pali 35.1, and Jaipur, Ajmer 34.7 degrees Celsius.

The heat will increase further this week

Radheshyam Sharma, Director of the Meteorological Center Jaipur, said – The weather in Rajasthan will remain dry for the next 4-5 days. This week, the maximum temperature of several cities may increase by 3-4 degrees Celsius. In some western districts, the temperature may even go above 40 degrees Celsius. However, there is no possibility of a heatwave in the next four to five days.
