Rajasthan heatwave at 43°C; hailstorm, rain in Hanumangarh

In Rajasthan, the temperature may rise by 3 to 4 degrees in the next few days. According to the Meteorological Center Jaipur, the weather will remain clear and the heat will intensify.

On Friday (17th April), due to a western disturbance, there was light rain and storms causing fluctuations in temperature. In Churu, the temperature was recorded at 43 degrees. Meanwhile, there was a drop in temperatures in several cities including Barmer, Jaisalmer, and Pali.

Sudden change in weather, hail also fell

In the past 24 hours, clouds have been present since morning in Hanumangarh and Churu. In the afternoon, in some areas, along with storms, there was rain and hail. The changed weather has damaged the crops that were cut in these districts.

Apart from the fields, crops kept in the open at the markets also got wet. However, in Churu headquarters and its surroundings, the sky remained clear, resulting in strong sunlight, which increased the heat here. The highest temperature in the entire state was recorded here on Friday.

Clouds covered the sky, but no relief from heat

Due to the effect of the Western Disturbance, light clouds remained in the sky during the day in several districts including Jaipur, Bharatpur, Dausa, and Tonk, but there was no significant relief from the heat.

However, even in these cities, the sky cleared up by evening. The maximum temperature recorded was 39.1 degrees Celsius in Ajmer, 39.2 in Bhilwara, 39.5 in Udaipur, and 38.5 degrees Celsius in Nagaur.
