Extreme heat alert in Rajasthan: Temp crosses 41°C, clouds loom

In Rajasthan, the heat intensified due to the strong sunlight. After Barmer and Jaisalmer, the mercury has also crossed 41 degrees Celsius in Kota. In Churu and Chittorgarh as well, the temperature was recorded above 40 degrees Celsius yesterday.

With the increasing heat, light warm winds have started blowing during the day in western Rajasthan. The Meteorological Center Jaipur has issued a heatwave warning for the state from April 17.

Rapidly rising daytime temperature

In the past 24 hours, the sky was clear from Tuesday morning to evening in all districts of Rajasthan. Strong sunlight appeared in many cities and remained until the evening.

On Tuesday, the highest maximum temperature was recorded at 41.6 degrees Celsius in Barmer and 41.5 degrees Celsius in Kota. The maximum temperature was 40.5 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer and Churu.

Clouds appeared in Sikar and Jhunjhunu areas in the late evening

After intense sunlight and heat throughout the day, light clouds appeared in some areas of Jhunjhunu, Sikar, and Alwar in the late evening. With the clouds, a light breeze blew here and the weather changed. Similarly, in some areas of Nagaur, light clouds appeared in the late evening.

Yellow alert in these districts

The Meteorological Center Jaipur has indicated the possibility of increased heat in the state this week. During this time, a heatwave will occur in several western districts, for which a yellow alert has been issued.

On April 17, a yellow alert has been issued for a heatwave in Sri Ganganagar, Jaisalmer, and Barmer districts. On April 18, a yellow alert is in effect for a heatwave in Sri Ganganagar and Barmer districts.
