Rajasthan: In the aftermath of the deadly blast outside Delhi’s Red Fort, Rajasthan has been placed on high alert, with intensified security at major religious and public places, including the Khatu Shyam Temple in Sikar district.

Police, district administration, and the Shri Shyam Mandir Committee have tightened security in and around the temple.

Bags have been banned inside the premises, and all devotees are being screened with metal detectors. The surrounding area has been declared a no-vehicle zone, with police managing entry points and crowd movement.

Statewide Vigil at Temples and Dargahs

Security measures have also been strengthened at Jaipur’s Govind Dev Ji Temple and Ajmer’s Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Dargah, where RAC personnel are deployed for round-the-clock monitoring.

Superintendent of Police Vandita Rana has instructed officers to maintain continuous patrolling and vehicle checks throughout the district.

Dog squads and bomb detection units have been deployed at major railway stations, including Ajmer Junction, to inspect platforms, luggage, and parking areas.

Pushkar, Tourist Spots Under Tight Watch

In Pushkar, authorities have stepped up security around the Brahma Temple and the Israeli shrine in Bed Khabad, with constant patrolling and surveillance at religious and tourist sites.

CM Bhajanlal Sharma Orders Heightened Vigilance

Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has directed police and intelligence agencies to maintain maximum alertness at all sensitive locations — including religious sites, railway stations, malls, and bus stands — to prevent any untoward incidents.

The heightened alert comes as part of a coordinated statewide review involving local police, intelligence units, and administrative authorities, following the Delhi blast that claimed eight lives.
