Experts say the sudden appearance of clouds and the possibility of thunderstorms are linked to a western disturbance moving across northwest India. Such weather systems often bring short spells of rain, thunderstorms and strong winds to states like Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana during the spring season.

While the disturbance may bring temporary relief from heat, the cooling effect is expected to be limited. After the weather system passes, temperatures may rise again in many areas.
