Rajasthan Weather: Clouds and Light Rain Ahead of Holi, Daytime Temps Around 33°C

Jaipur: The weather in Rajasthan has changed again ahead of the Holi festival. Clouds have been covering several districts, including Jaipur and Dausa, since Saturday morning. The breeze that has been blowing since morning is also reducing the heat.

Meanwhile, light rain fell in several districts, including Bikaner, Sikar, and Alwar, late Friday night. This resulted in a slight drop in night temperatures. However, weather experts predict clear weather in the state for the next few days.

Daytime temperature is around 33 degrees.

On Friday night, light rain fell in many areas of Bikaner’s Lunkaransar, Sikar’s Fatehpur and Khairthal-Tijara districts. Meanwhile, five other districts, including Jaipur, have been experiencing light clouds since yesterday afternoon. Winds have also altered the weather. According to the Meteorological Department, 14 cities recorded maximum daytime temperatures of 33 degrees Celsius or above. Temperatures also rose by 2 degrees Celsius in other cities, including Jaipur, Alwar, Sikar and Pilani.

Fear of intense heat

The Meteorological Centre, New Delhi has issued a forecast for the next two weeks, in which it has predicted that the temperature in the western and northern districts of Rajasthan will remain 3-4 degrees above normal and the heat will remain intense.

The highest maximum temperature in the state during the last 24 hours was recorded in Barmer at 35.2 degrees Celsius, followed by Jaisalmer and Chittorgarh at 34.8 degrees Celsius.

Minimum temperature above 20 degrees

As the day heat intensifies, the western districts are now experiencing a cooling effect at night. Phalodi recorded a minimum temperature of 22.2 degrees Celsius on Friday.

Barmer recorded a minimum temperature of 20.5 degrees Celsius, Chittorgarh 19.4 degrees Celsius, Jaisalmer and Jodhpur 18.4 degrees Celsius, and Bikaner 18.5 degrees Celsius. Winter has now virtually disappeared from these cities, even at night.
