Western Disturbance to Raise Temperatures in Rajasthan, Light Drizzle Likely on Jan 22–23

Jaipur: According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, temperatures are expected to rise as a western disturbance becomes active on Saturday. Light clouds may appear in the northwestern districts.

Minimum Temperature to Rise by 2–3 Degrees Celsius

This will cause the minimum temperature to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius. There is also a possibility of light drizzle on January 22nd and 23rd.

10 Cities Record Minimum Temperature Below 5°C

On Friday, 10 cities in the state recorded minimum temperatures below 5 degrees Celsius. Frost in rural areas of Hanumangarh, Alwar, and surrounding areas caused dewdrops to freeze.

Sikar, Alwar Among Coldest Places

The Karauli, Alwar, Sikar, and Fatehpur areas experienced intense cold on Friday morning. The coldest areas in the past 24 hours were Alwar and Fatehpur, where the minimum temperature was recorded at 3 degrees Celsius. The cold wave also affected areas like Bikaner, Churu, Sikar, Alwar, Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Ganganagar, and Nagaur.

Sunshine Brings Daytime Relief Across the State

The sunshine brought relief to people during the day. Maximum temperatures in all cities of the state were recorded between 21 and 30 degrees Celsius.

Jodhpur, Barmer Record Highest Day Temperatures

The highest maximum temperatures, 29.6 degrees Celsius, were recorded in Jodhpur and Barmer districts. Sunshine and the end of cold winds during the day brought temperatures above normal.

Light Rain or Drizzle Likely Between January 22 and 24

The Meteorological Center, Jaipur, has predicted a mild western disturbance will become active in the state starting today. This system is expected to bring light clouds to the higher elevations in the Bikaner and Jaipur divisions, and the minimum temperature is expected to increase by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius.

Due to this, the impact of winter in the state will be less in the morning and evening. However, another western disturbance is expected to become more active between January 22nd and 24th.

The impact of this system is likely to be more in Rajasthan, due to which light rain or drizzle may occur at some places.
