Rampur tragedy on camera: Overloaded truck flips over, completely flattens car; 1 killed

Rampur: A horrific road accident occurred in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday. A truck loaded with straw lost control and overturned on a Bolero car near Pahadi Gate. The Bolero driver, Firasat, a resident of Thana Ganj area, died on the spot.

How ​​the accident happened

According to police, the overloaded truck collided with a road divider, lost control, and overturned on a Bolero car traveling alongside. The entire incident was captured on CCTV, which shows the truck suddenly overturning and crushing the Bolero. The impact was so severe that the car was completely flattened, and straw was scattered on the road.

The CCTV footage showed “Uttar Pradesh Government” written on the Bolero, although the police have not yet commented on this.

Immediate relief and rescue operations

Police arrived at the scene upon receiving information. The body was exhumed by cutting the Bolero vehicle using a JCB to remove the heavy debris. The body was later sent to the district hospital for a postmortem.

Ganj police removed the truck with the help of a crane and restored traffic. Senior officials also inspected the site. According to the police, further legal action is underway.

The driver was alone in the car

SP Vidyasagar Mishra stated that during the rescue operation, only one person was found in the Bolero. There were no signs of anyone else being buried under the straw or the truck.
