Rampura Phul Block Samiti election case, High Court orders re-election on April 1

The matter regarding the election of Chairman and Vice Chairman in Rampura Phul Block Samiti was taken up for hearing in the High Court. Earlier, the Punjab Government had suspended these elections twice because the Aam Aadmi Party did not have a majority

The High Court has issued guidelines and ordered that these elections will be held on April 1 under the supervision of the High Court, and for this, a lawyer has been appointed as an independent observer by the High Court itself.

These elections will be held with complete transparency and fairness under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bathinda.

The Honorable High Court has also given a clear order that local MLAs and other persons who do not have the right to vote will not be allowed to enter the polling station.

This is the second time in the last two days that the High Court has issued such orders on writ petitions filed by SAD.
